The club game for 2011 is going to be some sort of ACW meets Wild West type thing, so I've volunteered to make a suitably western looking train as part of the collective effort to get it up and running. This was an easy thing to go for, as I was lucky enought to find a plastic toy train at the local recycling centre a few weeks ago that's perfect for what's required.
It's not exactly a finescale model but, with a bit of a wash and brush up together with some detailing and fiddling about it'll make a decent basis for a western style train. I'll do a minimum of converting on this one though, as it'll make no difference to the finished article as far as anyone's concerned. A lick of paint and some judicious weathering will do.
This is a really nice score. I think that you could even make the tops of the box cars removable to do some interior work on them so that they can be used in a train robbery. I wrote a scenario for Pulp Alley that this train work well for!
