This Very Ground

I won a copy of these French Indian Wars skirmish rules for a fiver on ebay the other day. I don't really have a use for them in mind but had heard good things about them, so thought I'd grab a bargain even if they end up in the dusty pile of unused rulebooks in the loft.

A quick skim read suggests otherwise but, having no great urge to do this in 28mm, I'm not intending to start anything silly. If there was a decent range of FIW figures in 15mm, I might be tempted over to the dark side....at least it would make good use of all those 1/100th scale architectural model trees I scrounged from work!

  1. They're not a bad set of rules, I like the way the Indians are based on round bases, I may try and incorporate this idea into my own rules that I'm trying to write. For figures, you'll have to go a long way to beat the newish Blue Moon range, they're fantastic!! Shame I've already spent loads on Essex, Frei Korps and other ranges, check them out here's a link if your interested,

  2. Thanks Ray,

I've had a look at the Blue Moon range on the Old Glory UK site.

    Superb!

Not too pricey either if you pick and choose the packs you need and take it one step at a time.

I'm very tempted to get some Indians now...

    :O)
