AK47 Patrol Boat [2]

I had a go at cutting off the forward pilot house on the Dinky patrol boat last night and then blanked it off with plastic card at both ends of the wheelhouse.

When I got home from work this evening, I added another layer of plastic card to the front of the wheelhouse before filling in the gaps with green stuff. It looks a bit crude at the moment, definately a bit 'ho hum' to be honest, but I think it'll clean up nicely after a good sanding and some extra detailing. I need, for example, to fill in all the little holes all over the deck and the aft engine housing.

I've ordered a ZPU-4 AAA gun from Peter Pig to stick on the bow mounting and a single barrelled ZPU-1 AAA gun for the stern position, assuming I can make it fit. If not, I'll just blank it off and leave it as an extra engine room ventilator thingy. If this all works it should look pretty good. If not, it's no big deal, as the AAA guns can always be reclycled as armament for more militia technicals.

Ho hum!
