Welcome to my blog. I have upwards of 100 projects in various stages of incompletion or total abandonment, so you may well find something of interest if you rummage about a bit. I concentrate on solo air and naval wargaming but other 'skirmishy' things quite often pop up out of nowhere, only to disappear again after something else grabs my attention. I even finish the occasional project now and again!

Normandy Firefight Skirmish Rules
These look really interesting, especially as they're scaled for 54mm figures of which I have loads in the plastic fantastic pile up in the loft. The example game on the authors blog also looks superb and is on a custom made 4'x4' terrain board, making it nice and compact but very visually impressive.

I'm going to get a copy of the rulebook as it's on special offer over at Northstar, so may be off on yet another tangent as a result. I really like the idea of skirmish gaming in 54mm, especially as I have more than enough figures and vehicle kits to start with.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to it too, playing skirmish wargames with 1/35mm models is something I've wanted to do since I was in High school and I was still a pure modeller (altough not a good one) and I was just beginning to play wargames... We're talking about the second half of the nineties.... Memories!!! ;)

Agreed. These look extremely tempting! The terrain board on the blog looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteThere's a battle report in the new WI. Seems very detailed...
ReplyDeleteWe played it with 1/56 scale not scaling the table or the move distance and find it to work just as great! except for throwing grenades. We suggest using 8/16 & 24 inches. One thing you got to keep in mind, one player per minis, or you will loose easily your pace! We played 3 games so far, Allies won 2/3. Grenade are very effective, careful not to throw them on your buddy's!
