Plastic Jungle

I found these in the local GiFi yesterday, which is a sort of homebase type chain store with lots of cheap stuff. They're 25cm x 25cm so very similar to the sort of jungle terrain bits that Games Workshop used to sell for an arm and a leg. You can get the same sort of thing from pet shops but they're not cheap either, unless you buy them in some quantity.

These cost the equivalent of £2.50 each, so much less expensive and perfect as low jungle undergrowth for my on-going In the Heart of Africa project or for Saurian Safari games. They'd also be great as tall jungle scrub for AK47, which would add a bit of tactical variety to the table top. I'd need to cut them down to irregular shapes and might even glue the bits to old CD's, which seems to be the way forward these days. I've got three but I think I'll get some more, if only for the terrain bits box.

  2. A useful find, I like the idea of using it as jungle undergrowth. I'll see if there's something like it here in the US.
