I finally decided on the simplest option for my second fleet and have ordered a bargain pack from Skytrex for a Royal Navy force based in the Eastern Mediterranean. I've added a handful of additional ships including both Rodney and Nelson, the Renown and a couple of extra heavy cruisers, so it should be a well rounded fleet. It will be ideal as opposition for my Vichy French if they make a sortie or for the club's Italians, Japanese or Germans. It's the French fleet first though as soon as I get back from holiday.
Mmmmm... must work out what these 10 points Gary is suggesting actually look like in 'fleet' terms...? Will one of these packs cover it...?
ReplyDeleteI think it will come down to the priority level he's set for the individual games I.e. battle.
ReplyDeleteI can see myself running out of ships quite quickly if I lose two or three battles in a row and some of the heavy units go down.
I would have thought you'd be covered by one of the packs though, assuming the bulk of your ships were either battle or raid level I.e battleships, heavy cruisers etc?
ReplyDeleteI should think so... Yamato and Musashi are 2 points each alone. That's almost half my points on two ships! I think I'm a little short on light cruisers and, of course, no subs or aircraft as yet :) We'll see what develops with the aircraft/sub rules...
