1864


I spotted this is Waterstones today and, having watched the excellent TV drama series, will now be reading the book it was based on. This is a really intesting and tragic conflict, which I first learned about from a wargaming friend of mine who happened to have Danish ancestry and a matching enthusiasm for mid-nineteeth century warfare. I'll be looking forward to reading this in the next couple of weeks.

    This took my interest when I saw previews of the TV series. I don't believe it aired here in the US, but I live in hope. I would like to get hold of this book if I can. It's an interesting conflict in an interesting period.

    Have I missed this on British TV? Saw the trailers a while ago online and thought it was coming to BBC3 or 4.
