Flashpoint Taiwan PLAAF

Here are the based up Communist Chinese aircraft for the Target Locked-On Flashpoint Taiwan project including four MiG-21's, eight MiG-19 / J7's and three Il-28 / H5's. This is all that I will need to run most of the scenarios that I'm thinking of, although I do quite like the idea of some MiG17 / J5's or a trio of Tu16 / H6 Badgers, even if that would be a bit over the top. I'm hoping to find some time to paint these tomorrow, as they will only need a basic bare metal finish and some lining out before I add the tiddly decals. I really, really like these Tumbling Dice planes!

  1. Really looking forward to seeing how you get on with this. Progress has stalled on my own Iran-Iraq aircraft at the moment. I must break them out when I get a chance, having seen yours. I'm interested to see how you find these rules too.

  2. Me too. I'm planning a test run for next week, once the planes are painted.

  4. They're scratchbuilt from 25mm x 3mm mdf hexes and dice frames from Warbases, with some wire spears with the tips cut off for the stands. Very cheap and easy to make.
