A bit of light reading for the weekend. This book features a series of short accounts, written in narrative style and focussing on the last flight of WW1 aviators during which they are shot down, crash land or otherwise end up on terra firma. It's an interesting approach and reminds me a bit of the Under the Guns books by Norman Franks, albeit from a less research based perspective. It's a very easy read and good to dip in and out of either way, so I've been reading it using the Kindle App on my phone, whenever I have a spare ten minutes or so to kill. The front cover strap line is a bit misleading but it's not a bad book if you think about it as potential scenario material rather than as a proper historical work.
