Naval Aviation in the Korean War

In the run up to my MiG Alley / Bag the MiG project for 2018, I've been collating together my reference material that I've already got and adding some new books as well. This is my latest acquisition and very interesting it is too, especially as I have recently added more 1/600th scale USN and USMC aircraft to the painting production line.

  1. I seem to be a few years behind. In that every wargame I look at you have already done. So I guess this will be right for me 2021.

For example I am just starting Back of Beyond. So have been strongly inspired by those posts. Little to show at present as I know the club will not get involved until it is a proven success. And At present I am working on my first force.

So this is just to let you know I am standing on the shoulders of Giants.

  2. Back of Beyond is great but it does take a bit of persuasion to get people on board. I found that if you start with small numbers of figures and put on a game or two with lots of interesting kit (planes, armoured cars, exotic figures etc) it then grabs peoples attention. If you can manage two small forces, the expedition being one good choice, then you can showcase the thing and get them hooked!😈
