I decided to put together the Armourfast Jagdpanther today, as it's been looking at me from the shelf above the workbench. I added some detailing bits from an old Revell Panther kit that I bought cheap when Modelzone closed down a few years ago, together with some white metal track links from EWM.. This meant that it took a bit longer than usual to assemble but I think it was time well spent. As I have run out of Humbrol Matt Dark Earth spray I used Matt Sea Grey instead, which I'm hoping will be a good basecoat for an overall white winter camouflage scheme.
I am really enjoying this series of builds! I'm not a huge fan of Armourfast but the Jagdpanther is one of their best and as you've shown you only need a few bits from just about any Panther kit to make it look the biz. Also note that the running gear from the above A'fast kit is a very good match for the Italeri fastbuild Panther G (if you get rid of all the horrid locator pins) and will vastly improve that model which comes with the tracks lacking tension and weirdly wrapped around the drive sprockets.

It's the running gear that saves all the time and effort of assembling a normal kit. I've been thinking off cross-matching some kit hulls with Armourfast tracks, for an M4A1 for instance.
