Floating Castles


These are the rules that I was originally going to use for the Victorian naval project, which I started way back in 2010! I wrote a review of these rules at the time, as I couldn't find anything about them on the web, but never got round to actually trying them out:


I thought they looked pretty good, being a bit of a Chris Peers rules enthusiast, so I've decided to dig them out and give them a play test, once I've finished the Royal Navy ironclad squadron, or at least enough of them to set up a game. Chris Peers is a bit like Marmite, you either love his rules or you hate them, so it will be interesting to see if they are as quirky as Contemptible Little Armies or In the Heart of Africa, for example. Anyway, it's an excuse to paint up more Victorian ironclads, so I'm not bothered if they turn out to be a bit wonky!
