I've been painting the kitchen instead of the 1/2400th scale ironclads today but did get them ink washed and have started on the highlights for the sails. For some reason my ink wash mix turned out to be a bit more orange than the last lot, which means the highlight on the sails doesn't look as effective as the one I did on the French warships. Anyway, I have three more sets of sails to paint, then I can move on t the mast and deck highlights. I may give the sails another wash or a bit of lining later on if I'm not happy with the end result. They look a bit messy now but I'm hoping they will tidy up with some further tweaking.
