I have had a pretty productive day at the workbench, thanks in part to the terrible weather and cancellation of the kid's rugby match and gym competition, with the Royal Navy ironclads now at the wash stage, ready for highlighting and retouching tomorrow. I've also masked all of the fuselage bands on the Spitfire Vb's and given them an overall basecoat in good, old fashioned Citadel Codex Grey, from a bottle I've had since 1995 which is still going strong! I'm aiming to finish painting the ironclads tomorrow on my day off and get the under surfaces, canopies and camouflage basecoat on the Spitfires by the middle of the week.
