Scratchbuilt Islands Update

I have now textured, sealed and undercoated the two islands that I am making for my 1/2400th scale naval terrain, with a final drybrush to fill in any cracks and patches. I am now ready to give them a bit more colour using shades of green and brown, followed by a wash in brown ink to add some shading, then a final drybrush in off white to accentuate the cliffs. I should get that done tomorrow, although I have now got some of those inevitable DIY jobs to do first. I was also hoping to get a game of something underway today, probably another Fistful of Lead scenario, but both of the younger kids were busy with school stuff and the eldest was at work, so it will have to wait a bit longer.

  1. Looking good. What's your method for the texturing?

    1. It's just a filler and PVA mix followed by some acrylic paste with sand mixed in. Easy.
