I've now base coated the Indonesian warships in Vallejo Light Grey and will be blocking in the decks next, when I get the time. I've also been experimenting with different shades of green for the Whisky class submarines, as they were painted in a distinctive Soviet era bottle green colour, presumably to camouflage them against the tropical shoreline or in shallow coastal water. I settled on a basecoat of Vallejo Intermediate Green but will do an over wash in something to add some shading and definition. In other news, my order of Davco French Cold War ships has arrived from Navy Models and Books, minus the frigates that are no longer available, so I'll have to wait for the substitutes from Navwar before I can start that project in the holidays.
