This proved to be really useful and a good basis not only for a scenario but also as the core of a mini-campaign, with a particularly helpful hex map included alongside full listings for the Indonesian naval and air force orbat at the time. I will be working through it to see how I can use this gold mine of stuff for my project, using the private and campaign map to develop my own campaign ideas. Brilliant!
Welcome to my blog. I have upwards of 100 projects in various stages of incompletion or total abandonment, so you may well find something of interest if you rummage about a bit. I concentrate on solo air and naval wargaming but other 'skirmishy' things quite often pop up out of nowhere, only to disappear again after something else grabs my attention. I even finish the occasional project now and again!

Singapore or Bust
Despite going off on a completely random tangent with the Jet Knights of the Sky project, I have also been focussed on the Indonesian Confrontation naval plan, with some useful new material. On a long shot, I put out a request on the club forum for anyone with a copy of Wargames Illustrated 195 from way back in 1999. I wasn't expecting much luck but Colin found the relevant issue and was kind enough to email me a pdf copy of the Singapore or Bust article that I was after.
I had to lookup the Indonesian Confrontation. That's one interesting little conflict.
ReplyDeleteThe war that didn't exist...or at least wasn't a war, just a 'conflict'. Fascinating indeed!
DeleteYep no one fights wars any more. Just incidents, and the like. 🤣
