Cyclops Class Monitors Finished

I painted the four 1/2400th scale Tumbling Dice Cyclops class breastwork monitors today, ready for the INWarD 2021 game on Friday. These were quite straightforward to do, having no masts, sails or rigging to speak of, so were a relatively quick job with only the white outlining on the superstructure being a bit fiddly. In retrospect, I would have removed the things on the fore and aft decks, which I think are supposed to be anchor winches and so on, as they are a bit of a lump and not really accurate.

In terms of Broadside and Ram, I've rated them as follows:

Cyclops Class Monitors

CS 3 / MS 4 / AF 4T / DF 4 (11 points)

...while for Dahlgren and Columbiad, they have the following ratings:

Size: M / Speed: 5 / Man: M / DF: 3 / AF: +5 / FW and AW arcs: GF= 3, PF= +4

  1. They look great Jim. I like the Victorian livery and the shading on the superstructure etc, I kinda like the stuff on the foredecks too, give a little relief and looks good from gaming distance.
