I've been working away on a very basic map for my Find, Fix and Strike campaign, based on a fictitious Italian threat to invade Corsica in late 1939 or early 1940, following the annexation of Albania in April 1939. The premise is that Mussolini has got carried away and decides to threaten the French with an invasion scare, only to have Admiral Darlan respond with a demonstration of force which escalates to hostilities, albeit brief ones.
Anyway, here's the map, which I've gridded up in MS Paint as I haven't got the software to overlay a hex pattern, with each square representing 25 nautical miles as used in the Operation Picket supplement, which I'll be using as a campaign template. I've had to fudge some bits of the geography using cut and paste but it's not too bad? As a bonus, I can also use it for my pre-dreadnought counterfactual campaigning, although that's another plan entirely!
There’s a good hex map in the Genoa campaign pack for FFS too! But thanks for posting this.
ReplyDeleteYes I've got that one but it doesn't extend far enough to the east.
DeleteVery nice. I'm looking forward to the battle reports!
ReplyDeleteETA sometime in the autumn
DeleteIt works. I did something similar for my pre-Dreadnaught campaign. Looking forward to what transpires.
