Finest Hour Luftwaffe Fighter Camouflage

I've now added the upper surface camouflage to the Bf-109's and the recce aircraft, using Foundry Storm Green and Vallejo German Camo Dark Green for RLM 70 and RLM 71, going by the old adage that small things need lighter shades. They need tidying up but can then get a splosh of my usual Future based ink wash, before I go on to some highlighting and detailing. These are early Battle of Britain, so won't get any funky yellow noses or tails and will have a minimum of the over sprayed camo finish that was typically applied later on. If these turn out okay I'm thinking of doing another staffel in the later scheme, yellow cowlings and all. In the meantime, I'm going to add four more By-109's to form the Stabschwarm for the Gruppe, as I'll have the decals for them too.

  2. Lovely progress, as soon as I have finished other things these are next on my list. But that Do-17 looks a bit big compared to the Ju-88, I thought it was smaller than a 88?
