Parthian Bases

 

I textured the bases for the Parthian units yesterday but my cunning plan to blutack the units on then texture around them didn't really work. In the end, I had to add more sand and PVA over the top of the original surface, which has given them a more rustic look, more rocky desert wasteland than sandy arid plains, which I quite like. The base for the Roman legion - Legio II Traiana -  was replaced and a new one textured using the original pen outline method, so that it would match the other units in the Imperial Roman army. The bases have now been base coated in Halfords Ultramatt Khaki ready for a wash and drybrush tomorrow, as I have a day off work in the middle of the week at the moment, so can spend an hour or two on wargaming things!
