Checkerboard Gunports

 

I was trying out marking some gun ports using a Sharpie pen on a couple of old Danish steam ships today, as I've been stumped when it comes to painting the checkerboard pattern on my 1/2400th scale Napoleonic ships. I think it looks okay, at least from a distance, so that's one more project that has just become a little more feasible. Result!
