I rediscovered this book at the back of my bookshelves the other day, having completely forgotten about it, so have now got an excellent focus for my Bag the Hun Tobruk scenario writing project. No73 Squadron played a significant role in the defence of Tobruk in 1941, flying Hurricane IIB's in a variety of roles from convoy escort to interception and ground attack. I have to do some more in-depth reading to extract some good scenario material, but this is a really good place to start. The idea will be to paint up some 1/600th scale aircraft models for this project eventually, although I do already have a decent array of 1/285th scale painted planes, so that I can play test the scenarios in the same way that I did when developing the Khalkhin Gol article for the Lard Mag. Tally Ho!
