This weekend I'm hoping to finish painting and possibly even basing the German fleet for the Norwegian Campaign. This will mean adding some deck swastika flag air recognition panels to the heavy cruisers, which I'm going to have to improvise using aircraft or military decals and paint. I'm not sure it's going to work but, for historical accuracy, they really do need to be done. I was surprised that Dan at Flight Deck Decals didn't have them, as I'm sure they would be very popular, unless I missed them when browsing the website?
I imagine commercial selling of items with nazi symbols on them is.....fraught. Tell him to sell decals with a red background, white dot, and a black cross. Customers wanting the full thing just need to add some black pen marks..... =P
ReplyDeleteI got the swastikas for my 1/3000 German vessels from Pendraken. Their "National Flag" sheet from the I-94 decal range has them in various sizes. I used them from battlecruiser size down to destroyer.
