Royal Navy Napoleonic Squadron

While the French ships have already been assembled and undercoated, the Royal Navy half of my Napoleonic naval project is still very much untroubled by super glue and sanding files. That's apart from one 98 gun second rate that I assembled ages ago. As a result, I have a bit of a job to do in order to get the British ready for painting, especially as it's quite a lot of lead, more a fleet than a squadron in fact.

The initial line up includes a couple of unrated Brigs and Sloops, four frigates including one 50 gun fifth rate razee, a 64 gun third rate, seven 74 gun third rates, a single 80 gun third rate and three 98 gun second rates. I may well scale some elements back to cut down on painting and revise the orbat once I've worked out details for the ships. However, most of this will be glued together as I paint the French models, so that I can roll straight on to the British or even begin painting them as I go.
