I thought it would be a sensible idea to paint up a test model, just to make sure it worked, before diving in with the whole French squadron. This is the result of the blocking in and ink wash, so not too bad thus far, the model being HMS Glory, a 98-gun second rate that I built before realizing that the French didn't have any of them. I will get on to the highlighting and detailing tomorrow, but it's looking like it might be working out okay up to this point.
