Welcome to my blog. I have upwards of 100 projects in various stages of incompletion or total abandonment, so you may well find something of interest if you rummage about a bit. I concentrate on solo air and naval wargaming but other 'skirmishy' things quite often pop up out of nowhere, only to disappear again after something else grabs my attention. I even finish the occasional project now and again!

AK-47 COIN STOL (2)
I finished building the old VEB Plasticart kit this morning, adding some underwing guns and rocket pods from the PSC US infantry set. I'm quite pleased with the end result but now have to work out how to paint the blummin' thing!
When my dad was based in Kenyain the run-up to independence in 1962, they did exercises in the Northern Frontier District (NDF) to train for a potential post-independence invasion by Somalia. The 'enemy' had an air force, gleefully provided by the Kenya Police Air Wing who would fly Austers (I think) up and down British columns lobbing bags of flour out of the window to simulate bombs. They were pretty enthusiastic by all accounts and more than one Bedford RL had to have its windscreen replaced
