Today I have textured the bases for the early war Norwegian Campaign heavy units, which are now drying on the radiator, as well as biting the bullet to apply the Flightdeckdecals transfers onto HMS Furious. I've used Dan's decals before and they are always excellent but this one has some complex cutting out and wrapping round involved, so I was a bit wary. It all went fairly smoothly but there are a few wrinkles due to my cack handed farting about. I'll do a bit of touching up with paint but I'm pretty happy with the end result.
Wait until you try putting them on something like a US carrier with a 4-acre flight deck!
ReplyDeleteDan's designs do make it well worth the effort though; I put them on my USS Forrestal and HMS Invincible - fiddly but they do look beautiful when done and distract from my painting ;)
Yep, I'm trying to make it as stress free as possible by choosing flat tops without too many sticky outy bits!
