I was thinking about painting some additional 1/600th scale WW1 aircraft for Spandau and Lewis, as part of this month's air wargaming project, to extend my collection of models from mid-1917 into early 1918. However, I've been put off by the need to paint lozenge camouflage on the Fokker DVII's and Hannover CLII's, which will be a right pain in the bum. Instead, I may well go back to late 1916 and assemble some RFC and German aircraft including Airco DH2's, Albatros DII's, LFG Roland CII's and BE2c's. These are easier to paint for starters and I already have some Tumbling Dice models in the stash, so no expense required. I'll see if I can squeeze something into the schedule, but it may have to be bumped over into February if I can't find the time.
