What's on the Workbench?

It's taken a while to decide but my air wargaming project for this month is to add the decals to the 1/600th scale Tumbling Dice WW1 German aircraft that I painted way back in 2022. These have been sitting in a tin for months but can now be finished off, ready to play some solo games of Spandau and Lewis. I might add a few more twin seaters or scouts but I have enough for some basic dawn patrol type games already, with the RFC machines only needing some fuselage roundels as an optional tweak. Tally Ho!

  1. The Tumbling Dice aircraft are lovely models, aren’t they 😉
I have some of their WW1 German & French aircraft (which I intend to use for Austro-Hungarians & Italians).
I spoke to Paul from TD at Hammerhead a while ago to ask if he intended to make a few extra planes (such a bomber for the A-H’s - specifically either a Hansa-Brandenburg C1 or a Lohner L flying boat). The A-H’s often had a “make to” in respect of bombers. Fingers crossed Tumbling Dice can come up trumps…
Like you I’ve earmarked Spandau & Lewis for rules.
    Cheers,
    Geoff

  2. I've been hassling Paul to add a Spad VII and XIII as well as a Breguet XIV but no luck so far. He's always open to suggestions but tends to just sculpt whatever he feels like when he has the time. I might post something over in the Wings at War FB group to give him another nudge. Some AH aircraft would be great.
