Raid on Stuttgart

This is an excellent online article, focussing on an account written by W.E.Johns, author of the Biggles books, of a bombing sortie by No.55 Squadron DH4's in 1918. The next Jasta 18 pkaytest, to be organised next week, is based on a similar mission by No.55 Squadron, which did not involve Johns but only because he wasn't scheduled to fly on that day. Fascinating stuff and very much seat of your pants!
