Jaureguiberry

I started on the assembly and basing of the Tumbling Dice 1/2400th scale French pre-dreadnoughts today, with the Jaureguiberry glued together, based on a 60mm x 20mm mdf rectangle which was then textured with acrylic paste, before being undercoated in Halfords Grey then base coated in Halfords Matt Black. This was a much more long winded and fiddly exercise than I thought it would be, as the masts were a pain and I glued them in the wrong locations to start with. I also didn't plan on texturing the bases as much as I have but the end result looks better than a flat surface with only a bow wave. I have started work on the other battleships in the class, although they are all very different from one another, so should be in a position to start painting this first lot by the weekend.
