I had a go at building an old Airfix rebox kit of the MiG-21PF yesterday, which was enjoyable but frustrating. It's an old Aari kit from way back and went together reasonably well but with some poorly fitting components and a terrible, over sized canopy. It looks okay and fine for wargaming use, but it's very crude. As a result, I'm going to get hold of a better quality Eduard MiG-21M kit, but in the meanwhile I have an Academy Sukhoi Su-22 to glue together today, which I'm hoping will look a lot better than the Fishbed!
