This trio of ubiquitous R-boats is the latest addition to the Cruel Seas / Narrow Seas flotilla, with a view to using them as convoy escorts, for minelaying missions and for coastal patrols. They were very easy to put together so I've now started on the much more involved Vorpostenboot.

Me too but in 1/600 which is why I didn't get any to start with. However, now the fad for Cruel Seas has passed you can pick up the models, fleet sets and starter set for a lot less than when the rules first appeared, which is what has tempted me to have a go. I often find this with these wargaming crazes.
DeleteThey do look nice, and were tough buggers to fight from all accounts, but like Bluewillow, I already have a sizeable 1/1200 collection of coastal stuff.
