Picking some Bogeys

I had to get some 45mm circular laser cut mdf bases for my Chain of Command and Bolt Action late war British platoon today, as I had run out and need some for my PIAT and 2'' mortar teams, so decided to order a new set of acrylic bogey markers for Bag the Hun at the same time. I still have a set of the original markers that you used to be able to buy direct from the Too Fat Lardies but I thought it would be cool to have a bespoke set for the Khalkhin Gol project too.

Custom Acrylic Tokens (warbases.co.uk)

The  original blue and red TFL ones were made by Warbases, so I have used their custom acrylic token design service to order two sample sets of five identically sized 22mm hexagons, in transparent red for the Soviets and transparent green for the Japanese. You can also have basic lettering engraved on the tokens, so after some head scratching, I decided on the simple option of SOVIET and JAPAN rather than anything more complicated.

The token sets only cost two quid for five, which makes them very affordable even if you need quite a lot of them, so I will get more if I like them when they arrive in the post. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait a bit longer then usual as they are busy at the moment but that just gives me more time for painting! If they are good, I'm thinking of getting some for the Luftwaffe, RAF and USAAF, as well as the Italians, as that they are less generic than the original Too Fat Lardies option.
