WW1 Mid-1917 RFC Trench Strafers, Scouts and Two Seaters

 

Here's the latest lot of RFC aircraft for the mid-1917 part of the Algernon Pulls It Off and Duel of Aces project. I decided on a whim to add three Airco DH5's to the mix, as I had the models and they were around at the time and very busy too, in addition to six SE5a's and four F2B Bristol Fighters to add some punch to the proceedings. The DH5's were slightly altered to give them a more effective back stagger to the top wings, as this was a very distinctive if rather odd feature of the type, designed for better forward visibility.
