The holidays are nearly here and, as I was in Waterstones at the weekend, I decided to send my Father's Day book token on a couple of new history titles. After a bit of a browse I picked these two from the shelves, to brush up on my rusty knowledge of the Roman Army and its military campaigns. Nothing too strenuous but interesting as inspiration for Strength and Honour, especially the Jurguthine War and Boudiccan Revolt, two potential themes for future wargaming.
