I was ordering some laser cut bases from Warbases when I spotted these acrylic arc of fire templates in the Accessories range. I had missed these before as I rarely look beyond the bases and buildings on the website. They come in a range of translucent shades and in three sizes, 40mm, 50mm and 60mm, all marked with three angles of fire. I went for blue so that I can use them with my 1/2400th scale ironclads, even though some are on different sized bases, as they are perfect for Broadside and Ram. They might also be useful for other naval wargames but I would want to base the models to fit the templates, so smaller scale and smaller sized ships would be needed, perhaps 1/2400th scale Age of Sail being the ideal fit?
Welcome to my blog. I have upwards of 100 projects in various stages of incompletion or total abandonment, so you may well find something of interest if you rummage about a bit. I concentrate on solo air and naval wargaming but other 'skirmishy' things quite often pop up out of nowhere, only to disappear again after something else grabs my attention. I even finish the occasional project now and again!
