This weekend I'm fully focussed on painting the thirteen 1/285th scale Raiden Miniatures Spitfire Vb's that I need for the Lard Day game, which is now only a month away. The first stage is to paint and mask the fuselage band with a 2mm strip of tape, so that I can then paint the upper and lower surfaces in relevant shades of grey. This is a fiddly task but once it's done I can get cracking on the camouflage.
I'm also hoping to squeeze in some more painting on a few of the 1/2400th scale Tumbling Dice Royal Navy ironclads, as I have booked a table for a game at the club on Tuesday and could do with some reinforcements for the British line of battle. I haven't got time to do more than the four Prince Consort class ironclads, but they can form a squadron on their own, which will be very handy.
