Club Med

I've decided to shift the focus for my 1/2400th scale pre-dreadnought project from the North to the South, with the Mediterranean fleet of both the Royal Navy and La Royale. This makes more sense than an English Channel or Western Approaches focus, as the principal French warships that I've assembled and based were elements of the Mediterranean Fleet, while several of the Royal Sovereign battleships and HMS Hood were also in the Mediterranean Squadron based in Malta. Not only that but my coastal terrain is also better suited to North Africa, the Adriatic or the Aegean. In the longer run, I can also factor in the Italians and Austrians, which makes it a much better option for some serious 'What If?' scenario development. Tres Bon!

  1. Sounds like a good plan. The British Med fleet is still enormous. The Italians and Austrians have some interesting obsolescent stuff too. We used to play Victory at Sea: Age of Dreadnoughts quite a bit. Usually with Italians and Austrians.
