3D Printed Ships for 1864

I spotted this set of 3D printing files on Wargames Vault this morning. I don't have a 3D printer but I could try and find someone to print these for me, as I'm sure there must be a facility to do this. The ships are all in 1/1000 scale, so much larger than my 1/2400th scale 1864 models and perfect for a more detailed level of ship to ship action, even though this is only a limited selection of the ships required for the conflict. The models look pretty good too, even if you have to make the masts yourself, so not a bad deal for only six quid plus the cost of printing. It's definitely worth a closer look.

  1. Some larger local libraries have what are termed a 'Maker Space' with things like a 3D printer. So if all else fails once we are all allowed out into the world again that might be an option. They include assistance with using the high tech kit they provide like the printers.
