Building and Basing Royal Navy Ironclads of the 1880's

HMS Inflexible

I have one more week of holiday left here in Brittany, so I'll be spending some of the time building and basing the 1/2400th scale Tumbling Dice later Victorian ironclads that I've brought with me. I have a selection of both French and British ships but will be assembling and basing the latter first, as they require fewer spars and I forgot to bring enough with me, at least as far as I can calculate. These include HMS Temeraire, HMS Inflexible, HMS Alexandra and various oddly shaped naval experiments including HMS Ajax, HMS Edinburgh and HMS Colossus, not to mention the one-off ironclad torpedo ram, HMS Polythemus. I don't think they'll take too long to put together, so I might even get some of the French done too by the time we have to go back.

  1. You're a lucky man, not sure I'd be allowed to take my toys on holiday with me.
