The Battle of Cherbourg D&C Scenario

My daughter wants to play another naval game, so I've written up a brief scenario outline for the Battle of Cherbourg in June 1864, between the USS Kearsage and CSS Alabama, for Dahlgren and Columbiad. This is a simple last man standing game, with the Alabama's objective being to board and capture the Kearsage to win a major victory, while the Kearsage must inflict severe damage on or sink the Alabama to win a major victory. The Alabama has a -1 gunnery modifier when firing to reflect the fact that many of her shells were duds and failed to explode, together with the fact that her gun crews were less accurate.

If the Alabama does receive Severe Damage she may break off and attempt to exit via any point on the Southern Edge of the board, making a run for Cherbourg. If she manages to exit the table with Severe Damage the Kearsage will still win the scenario but with a minor victory, rather than complete success. However, if the Alabama inflicts Severe Damage on or sinks the Kearsage she will win a minor victory. The scenario will last for ten turns, at which point both sides will withdraw to rearm, or until the victory condition have been met.
