MiG Alley Winter 1951

I'm going to try to find the time for another game of MiG Alley this weekend, using some of the aircraft that I haven't deployed before including the USN F4U-4 Corsairs. This game will be set in the winter of early 1951 during the UN retreat from the Yalu, as this will allow me to use some of the ex-Soviet NKAF prop aircraft that were briefly around before the jets began to dominate the war in the air. The Corsairs will be on a ground attack mission in support of the retreating UN forces, while the NKAF Yak-9's and La-11's will be aiming to intercept them before they can hit their tactical targets.

  2. Interesting timing of the post, just as I watched 2021's most watched film: The Battle at Lake Changjin. Well worth the time, but as always, add three stars at IMDB for "being foreign" and "Being Chinese"... sigh.

  3. Looking forward to seeing how the game goes. I spent 8 years in South Korea while in the U.S. Army from back in the 1990's The war was an interesting part of there history. I was able to do a few battlefield walks in the south and I have to say it is hard country for war. I also got to see a monument to the UN Air Forces that fought in the war as well as the UN Cemetery in Pusan.
