A shock explosion tonight at the official reception for Afro Vision 72 winners, Sauti Kiwizi, has wiped out the entire band! The group were just beginning their set at a celebratory disco, with their top ten hit, Funki Kuku, when a blast ripped through the dancefloor, blowing the band to pieces and spreading chaos in the packed venue, the Zubuto People's Palace of Culture.
Initial forensic investigation by the Zubuto Internal Police (ZIP) has found traces of spicy jambok vol au vent liberally spattered across the scene. Viewers will recall the assassination of Dr Kenko Gold, President for Life of Zumata, in which an explosive laden tray of savoury ours d'oeuvres was subsequently identified as the source of the blast.

The tasty snack, with hints of paprika and a light chilli top note, has been acknowledged by security experts as the alleged weaponised titbit of the Mbote secret service, the Mbote Intelligence Branch (MiB). The blast has been traced to the buffet area of the venue, where a range of snacks and party treats was laid out, in full view of the disco dancefloor.
