With regret I've realised I just don't have the time to complete the 1/2400 scale Napoleonic French fleet by the time my holidays kick off in a little over three weeks from now. So, to cut my losses, I'm going to focus my efforts instead on the last of the 1/2400 scale South American pre-dreadnought models, which I should be able to do in the time left, even accounting for very busy weekends and extra work days.
To make up for this, I'm going to take my French fleet and the paints on my holiday, when I'll have the time to at the very least to block them in, ready for washing and detailing. I'll also take the models for the Royal Navy fleet with me to assemble, which will be a good way to kill two birds with one stone. Sounds like a plan!
