Royal Navy Squadron List c1800

A 74 gun Téméraire-class ship of the line the LE HOCHE captured from the French in 1798.
Pressed into RN service and was commissioned as the DONEGAL at Plymouth in 1800.

A few days ago I was bored at work so, in a free lesson with nothing better to do at the end of term, I decided to draw up a list of ships for my 1/2400th scale Royal Navy squadron c1800. This was comparatively straightforward as there is a plethora of information available online and I also have quite a lot of material at home to dip into. The proviso was that each of the vessels in question had to have been in service c1800 and in the immediate years before and after, excluding some that were lost, captured or laid up in the period 1798-1802 or thereabouts.

Of course, the list is in no way exhaustive given the massive size of the navy at the time and the profusion of warships, especially from Third Rates downwards, with literally hundreds to choose from. I have selected some of the more notable men of war but also some less illustrious ships, which I will use as a basis for my own squadron that I'll be assembling over the holidays to deploy against the French. I hope it's of interest and possibly even of some use?
