Against my better judgement, I've decided to carry on with my Napoleonic naval project this month, albeit on a reduced scale, with a small squadron of Royal Navy frigates and sloops. The idea is to be able to try out Nick Jones' fascinating grid based rules for some frigate actions, while also giving me the basis of a larger fleet. I've selected a 16 gun brig and a 20 gun sloop, a couple of 28/32 gun frigates, two 38/40 gun frigates, a 'razeed' 44 gun frigate and a 64 gun fourth rate ship of the line as a flotilla flagship. I'll assemble them today ready for painting as soon as the French fleet is finished.
What are Nick Jones' rules called and are they commercially available?
