I spent a very pleasant Bank Holiday morning assembling some more reinforcements for the 1/2400th French pre-dreadnought fleet. These include some useful protected cruisers - the Amiral Cecille, Galilee and Linois - the armoured cruisers - Amiral Charner and D'Entrecasteaux - and the coastal battleships - Formidable and Amiral Trehouart. It's tempting to add one or two more of the numerous coastal battleships and scouting cruisers but I must resist, otherwise I'll never get round to painting the bloody things! These now need to have the base texturing added then an overall matt black undercoat before I can get started on the paintwork.
