I'm dead chuffed to see this has been published by Wargaming For Grown Ups, as it may well revive a long dead project of mine, the Russian Civil War in 15mm. I like the approach taken to the Spanish Civil War by Graham and these rules are based on the same system, although I haven't played either of them yet so it's difficult to assess how the battles actually play out. The scale of the rules and the use of sensible basing conventions, mean that armies are not too big and that battles reflect the small scale nature of the conflicts concerned, as well as making it more affordable. There are lots of the usual and also unusual units to pick from such as armoured trains, tchankas, armoured cars and bags of cavalry, so what's not to like? I've ordered my paperback copy from Amazon today and you too can follow the links on the WFGU blog to do the same:
